Our September 22th show discussed how a veterinary cardiologist may be an invaluable tool when your veterinarian faces a situation outside of his or her expertise. Our expert guest was Dr. Allison Heaney,Diplomate ACVIM, cardiology from Rocky Mountain Veterinary Cardiology, P.C., in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Heaney discussed canine mitral valve disease, heart failure management, and interventional therapy for cardiovascular disease. Dr. Heaney also discussed heart attacks in pets during our “Real Scoop or Real Poop” segment.
