9-08-12: Pet Cancer
Our September 8th show discussed common skin growths and abnormalities that animals develop as they age. Our expert guest was Dr. Lorin Hillman, DCVIM in veterinary oncology. Dr. Hillman discussed the differences between benign and malignant tumors and different techniques used to diagnose specific types of tumors that affect your pet. Dr. Hillman also gave us insight into the emergence of veterinary oncology, including chemotherapy, radiation, and other advanced techniques that have allowed our pets to live longer and more comfortable lives.
