Our September 1st show discussed common household toxicities associated with cats and dogs. Our expert guest was Dr. Ahna Brutlag, the assistant director of veterinary services at Pet Poison Helpline. Dr. Brutlag gave us great information about general toxicities and specific toxins, such as sugar-free gum and glow sticks. She also gave us valuable information to help us make our homes safer for our pets. In the “Real Scoop or Real Poop” segment, Dr. Brutlag discussed the rumors about chicken jerky from China being tainted and causing animals to become sick.
